Awareness of the Cleanliness of River Water
Hello friends how are you? I hope you're all right. Welcome to my blog. I hope you like it.
This time I want to share an experience about service learning that I do in the environment around my house. My group and I chose the SDGs 6 goal of clean water and sanitation. we created a map to coordinate everyone with their own actions.
First, I observed the river environment around my house, and it turned out that quite a lot of people were throwing their garbage and household waste into the river.
I also planned an action to make people aware that throwing their garbage and household waste into the river is not a good thing, it can pollute the environment and cannot achieve the goals of the SDGs.
The first action I took was to reprimand and advise residents who had thrown their household waste into the river. I explained that polluting rivers can cause bad things such as causing various infectious diseases such as polio and others, it can also lead to sewage poisoning if the water is really polluted.
So the next thing I did to prevent this from happening again and again, I made a poster that contained the dangers of polluted water and how to maintain and benefit from clean water.
I hope they can realize it so they stop taking action to throw their garbage and waste into the river. And also work together to clean up dirty rivers. So that the environment becomes clean and healthy for everyone.

BalasHapusBrilliant idea!, because there are still many people who pollute the river even though water is very important for our lives, it would be nice if we guard it from things that pollute the water, therefore we must move together so that more and more people are aware to do better. care for the environment especially water.
Hello kristin, I'm ester 👋
BalasHapusYour experience and that of your group is very good to emulate.
With the experience you wrote, I would rather raise awareness not to litter, which can lead to dangerous consequences.
I hope people who see and read your experience can also have the awareness to help sustainable development goal number 6 regarding clean water and proper sanitation.

BalasHapusMost water pollution is caused by human activities such as throwing garbage in rivers, disposing of residual factory waste in rivers and others. Even though they know the river is polluted, many people still bathe, wash clothes and wash dishes in the river. It actually makes our body or skin infected by bacteria in the river. Hopefully with your actions you can wake them up and provide useful information about water pollution in rivers
good joob! I also often find a lot of piles of garbage in the river, even though they have been warned not to pollute the river. I hope what you did will change the dirty river environment.
BalasHapuswow very careful. clean water really affects our daily needs, hopefully people who are still polluting rivers will soon realize the importance of our ecosystem, thanks Kristin.

BalasHapusI agree that a dirty river due to garbage and waste has a very negative impact on us and other living things such as animals and plants around it. This activity you do can make people aware of how important clean water is for our daily life. it's better for the poster to be posted on social media so that it can cover wider and more people are aware
This is very cool. Water cleanliness depends on human activities, but many people ignore it so that polluted water is always increasing. Hopefully with what you are doing this raises a lot of public awareness not to take actions that can pollute the environment.

BalasHapusgood job kristin! Your action is really awesome. I really agree with you. We must to try reduce the garbage in the river, and reduce the water polluted. Your poster is veryg good idea too, the design and content is very good and really easy to understand and helpful for us. Keep spirit!

BalasHapusWow!! An activity that can be imitated. River water pollution can also be caused by population growth so that they build houses on the banks of the river. This causes the riverbanks to be filled with slums because residents often throw garbage in the river. If it happens continuously, it can cause the accumulation of garbage and the occurrence of flooding. Even the availability of clean water will decrease. VERY INSPIRING!
